What is a virtual office exactly? And why should I book with Teeberg?
A virtual office offers you a business address or company headquarters without you having to rent a physical office. It is ideal for self-employed people, startups and companies who want to appear professionally without high rental costs. With the Teeberg Virtual Office, you not only get a representative business address at Kollwitzstr. 76 centrally located in Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin, but you also get a reliable contact person who takes care of all aspects of the virtual office.
Can I also use the virtual office as a physical office?
You are happily invited to visit us. However, availability of spaces cannot be guaranteed and additional fees will be charged. Please get in touch with us if you would like to work from here so we can discuss all the details beforehand.
How do I get my mail?
Here, we differentiate between the two packages.
1. Mailing Address (35€/month)
We will physically forward your mail once a week to an address of your choice, free of charge.
2.Virtual Office (79€/month)
Your mail is digitally scanned free of charge and forwarded to you via email — fast, convenient and preferred by most customers. In addition, we will store your physical mail for you free of charge. This option is particularly suitable if you use the virtual office as your company headquarters, as the tax office usually requires that company documents be kept at the company headquarters. If you would also like to have your mail forwarded physically — e.g. monthly or annually — we will charge a fee of 10€ per shipment plus postage.
Will the authorities accept the virtual office as an official address for my company?
Yes! If you use the virtual office as your company headquarters, there are usually no problems with recognition by the tax office, as you have the opportunity to work in our coworking space, store important documents and make business decisions. However, other factors are decisive: If a company uses our virtual business address in Berlin, but the managing director works permanently from a home office in another city, the tax office at the managing director's place of residence is generally responsible. For commercial register entries and the entire external presentation, the address Kollwitzstr. 76 is harmless for the commercial register application and the entire external presentation, provided that the virtual business address is specified as the business address and the private address as the location of management on the tax registration questionnaire.
Can I also enter the address on my website or in my legal notice?
Yes, you can use our address in your imprint on your website and in official documents. It is important to note the difference between Business Address and Headquarters:
Business Address
The business address is included in both packages — the mailing address package (35€/month) and the virtual office package (79€/month). It serves as a professional address that you can use for business correspondence, invoices and public information such as your legal notice.
Headquarters
The company headquarters are exclusively included in the virtual office package (79€/month). You can officially enter this address as the registered office of your company at the commercial register (Handelsregister). So if you only use the mailing address package, you can use the address for business, but you can't register it as an official company headquarters. If you want to start or move your company with our virtual office, you need the virtual office package (79€/month).
I am currently founding my company...
1. Can I use the Virtual Office during the start-up phase?
Yes, you can also use our virtual office for your start-up company. You can enter our address as the company headquarters once you booked our virtual office package.
2. Can I receive mail even if the incorporation has not yet been completed?
Yes, you can use our services immediately after booking. We will receive your business mail and forward it as required — regardless of whether the establishment has already been completed.
3. What do I do if I don't have a company bank account yet?
If you don't have a company bank account yet, you can first use a private bank account to book our virtual office. As soon as your company bank account is set up, you can provide us with the new payment details and we will adjust the invoice accordingly. Since your company is already listed on the invoice, you can later have the privately spent money refunded by your own company.
4. Can I use your address as a billing address?
Yes, you can enter our virtual office address as a billing address. This is particularly helpful during the start-up phase when you do not yet have a fixed business address.
5. Can I store documents with you during the start-up phase?
Yes, you can safely store important documents, such as folders or documents, with us. There is a small fee for the one-time setup, and the storage itself is then free of charge.
How long has Teeberg been around — and how secure is my address in the future?
Teeberg has been around since 2023 — founded with the aim of offering you a long-term, stable business address and saving you frequent changes of address, notary fees and bureaucracy. Our rental contracts always run for at least 10 years. For you, this means that you can rely on your Teeberg address in the long term. Long before our rental agreement expires, we extend it — at least 3 years in advance. So you don't have to worry that your address will suddenly disappear or that you will have to move at short notice. That is exactly why Teeberg was founded: for lasting safety.
How does identity verification work at Teeberg — and what is it there for?
After booking your desired package, we carry out digital identity verification, which usually takes less than 2 minutes. This ensures that your details are correct and that we can activate your virtual office within 24 hours. At the same time, with a discreet KYC process in the background, we ensure that only reputable and trustworthy companies use a virtual office via Teeberg. This not only protects us, but also our customers. No one wants to share a business address with an opaque company.
